Are you forcing yourself out of your bed to go to work? The thought of changing a job doesn’t come easy. It is built from a series of frustrations led by situations such as the need for a career change, the distinction between passion and work, career development or a personal vendetta.
We will discuss further on what you should believe as a reason to change your job and what you shouldn’t consider.
Need for Career Change

You should change your job if you realise the need to change your career or you are not happy with your work.
Sometimes we make our career decisions based on our excitement or the lack of proper research about our chosen career. And sometimes, we have limited options on our hand. In time, we realise that is not what we wanted to do. These are the rash decisions we make because we are tempted by the salary prospects or the painless job hunt process. If you are a victim of these instances, then you need to change your career.
Distinction between your passion and your work
Do you get up in the morning and get negative vibes about going to work?
Do you get the feeling that you would rather do something else than going to work?
Does something else occupy your head even when you are doing the most critical task of your work?

If the above questions trigger your brain, that means you are not passionate about your work. It will increase your frustrations, and everything around you start to annoy you. The last thing anyone wants is to have problems in their domestic life because they are not happy with their work. So, before your work starts to affect your private life, you need to make an exit and land yourself a job that fulfils your desire of a better career.
However, it is not the case for some people who have lost passion in their work and think that they are in the wrong job. If you are one of them, then you need to recall the moments when you were proud of getting your job, achievements that brought a smile to your face and your aspirations when you started your career. It is also essential that you re-organise your ways of doing your work if it’s the routine or the traditional process that is bothering you.
Career Development

“If you are the most intelligent person in the room, you are in the wrong room.” A very popular saying by James D. Watson.
Same goes for your career. If you start to get too comfortable at your work or you build the hunger to move further with your career, then you need to change your job or find things that give you something to look forward to at your work. It is imperative to think outside the box and not let your job description limit your abilities if you want to develop your career.
Personal Vendetta

If you have a personal vendetta against someone at your work, that is not a signal for you to change your job.
People get frustrated when their bosses constantly bully them, get harassed at work which sort of builds a vendetta against them. Mostly because employees think they are powerless, they consider leaving the company. And that’s when they have taken the wrong decision.
You need to fight if you think you are not reasonably treated. You need to document right from the beginning of the incidents, go to HR for policy support, know the rules yourself, get multiple perspectives on the issue and find out if there are others who share your concerns.
